This is our colour palette. It takes inspiration from the colour palettes used by film directors such as Wes Anderson and Martin Scorsese. The clash of warm and cold tones represents the harsh world where joy and freedom are often overcome by a bitter struggle, a theme prominent in many social realism films.
We plan to stick to this colour palette throughout the creation of our promotional packages. We will continually refer to it and ensure that we are using those colours.
Reflection (post the creation of our promotional package):
I believe that we did stick to the colour palette well. For the trailer, we used the colour gradient bar in iMovie to add blue, colder tones to many of our shots. Warmer tones were added to shots such as the protest scene to show a progressive part to life.
